While working at University of Iowa’s Main Library as a book repair technician, I learned about how books structures fail, materials deteriorate, and what to do to bring them back to functioning and beautiful condition. I’ve spent a great deal of time handling a variety of historic and rare books and have trained in book conservation. With experience in paper mending, leather and cloth repair, and creating custom housing for delicate materials, I am equipped to handle most repairs I come across. If something requires treatment beyond what I can provide, I will let you know.
